SHPO Description: This L-shaped stucco residence is a combination of one and two stories with intersecting side facing and front facing gable tile roofs. The porch entry and balcony above have segmented arched openings, Decorative features include protruding wood beams over the large fixed picture windows on the facade and a wood balcony on the corner supported by large wood brackets and a carved balustrade. Wrought iron railings are found on the front porch. Windows are both fixed and casement. The wood frames are divided into three sections. The wood paneled door repeats the shape of the segmented arch. Canvas awnings extend across the front windows. (Judy Triem)
SHPO Significance: The house is significant as part of a group of residences built primarily in the Spanish Colonial Revival style between 1926-1929. The house was bulit for and probably lived in by george R. Seely, a building contracter and carpenter. Architecturally, the house exibits many fine characteristics of the Spanish Colonial Revival style and has been virtually unaltered since it was built in 1928.
